Why fiber, why now

Why is everyone talking about fiber in 2026?

"Fibermaxxing" — the trend of deliberately maximizing daily fiber intake — took off because the science finally went mainstream: fiber feeds your gut bacteria, keeps you fuller longer, and most of us are getting roughly 15 grams a day against a target of 25–38 grams. Search interest in dietary fiber hit an all-time high in the US this year.

The good news: you don't need a total diet overhaul. Small swaps — lentils for rice a few nights a week, berries on your breakfast, a handful of almonds as a snack — can close most of the gap. Our calculator shows your personal target; the foods database shows exactly where to find the grams.
